Critical Illness Eradication Program (CIEP)
Although certain illnesses affect an individual directly, it has implications for the community. Hence, the community must act for its healing. The community can play an important role in its eradication. Therefore, the organization facilitates the process of involvement of the community to fight against these diseases. The illnesses that affect the community as whole- HIV/AIDS, TB, addiction, and superstitions prevalent in the community come under CIEP.
This is done through various Community Health Awareness programs. Based on our experience we have learned that to improve health of the community, creating awareness is the necessary first step. In order to achieve this objective, imparting information regarding health and providing necessary assistance is done through regular home visits, focus group meetings, health area meetings, and special health education camps.
