Our Work
Educating for Empowerment
Empowerment is impossible without education - both formal and informal. As an organization we make all possible efforts to impart formal and informal education to people. Through education we attempt to create conducive educational environment for children of under privileged and marginalized sections of the society, which will support them to build a progressive future. It is based on a belief that given the environment and conditions for growth, any human being can achieve great heights irrespective of his/her background and other paraphernalia.
Over the last three decades St Xavier's Social Service Society has committed itself in many and varied ways to reaching out to children of the underprivileged community to help them grow and develop into the self sufficient individuals who can contribute to the society. INNovative Education (INNED), Loyola Evening School (LES), Child Labour Education Centre, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Promoting Higher Education (PHE), Social Awareness and Action Program (SAAP) are the various educational programs thorough which we make efforts to actually provide slum children with good quality education and to encourage them to continue with higher education.
