Vision Statement:
To work towards building a more humane, peaceful, and just society through the empowerment of the poor and the marginalized people with special focus on women and children.
Mission Statement:
- Building people’s organizations and enabling them to address their own problems, to make their own interventions for improving their economic, educational, health, and environmental standards, and for enhancing communal harmony.
- Empowering people’s organizations at all levels through networking, advocacy, and documentation.
SXSSS continues and will endeavour to continue its objectives of:
- Complete dedication in the service of the poor and marginalized in the slums of Ahmedabad and Gujarat
- Bringing in or striving to bring the spirit of Unity and Harmony amongst people of diverse social, educational, cultural and economic backgrounds
- To provide a platform for the poor to enable them to create an identity
- To lead them to organize themselves into Self Managed Groups enabling them to improve the quality of their life
