International Peace Day
September 21, 2011

What is peace in real sense? Peace is not merely an absence of war, but it is a condition in which basic needs and human rights of each individual are fulfilled. The reality of urban slums is lack of basic amenities like drinking water, health, education, decent housing, healthy environment etc. There is no peace in their lives. SXSSS is giving voice to the problems of urban slum dwellers which are obstacles to real peace in their lives on the occasion of International Peace Day (September 21). Various programmes like role-pay, workshops, exhibition, competitions etc are organized from September 21 to 29, 2011, in which people of our working areas will express their problems.
